Arizonians, we're sick of John McCain in Pittsburgh, too.

This brings us to a real dilema here for the "heroism" of Sen John McCain.

Yes I would grant that just surviving hell like being in a prison camp is heroism all in itself.  We have to remember also that in the 5 years McCain spent in that camp, many young men died, and were wounded mentally and physically.  They don't get to use thier military service to promote themselves.  Also, while Sen. McCain was being tortured, he really did give up his fellow crew members, not by thier names, but he gave the enemy his ships name...supposedly because he feared they would not continue to give him medical treatment.  Even though the enemy was not able to target the ship, in my mind, Sen McCain sold out his crewmates because he feared for his own well being.  This of couse ties into his, and the people he has around him about the economic strain on Americans.  He does not see the price of gasoline or food as a problem, or people loosing thier homes and jobs as real because he sees the world from his own selfish perspective. Everythhig around him is fine, everyone else can be where he is now simply if they stop whining.  John McCain will sell his morals, ethics and opinions out to whomever benefits him, regardless of the harm it might cause hurt.  Look at this man's life story and you will understand what I mean.  Somehow, I don't see that selfish outlook changing, except as president, he would sell out the high office to those who benefit him and those like him, and literall destroy this nation doing it.

The other thing that we are not seeing here.  Sen. McCain gave false information using real people.  Again, had the enemy been able to target the offensive line of the Green Bay Packers  these innocent men would have been captured and tortured, and so contiuation of the pattern of innocent men (obviously because they were innocent in the first place) being tortured.  One should ask themselves why only 5 men, out of the hundreds of men known to be in, and had been in the prision at Guantanamo Bay have not been charged with any crime.  And only God, and the current "administration" knows how many secret locations there are, and people who have been "rendered" to other countries there are.  How many of these people (and we are told there were only men...but we really don't know) were tortured and gave an innocent neighbour, or a classmate, or a former playmate...and we can go on here, but you get the picture...in order to save them from the pain of torture, or to save the threat of thier child being tortured, or thier wife being raped.  We just don't know the extent of this evil begotten by torutre.  Just the thought that we had to actually debate what constitutes torture is very troubling to me. 

This should tell the NeoCons and ditto heads out there that torture does not give reliable information.  This should be high on the agenda of questions to John McCain, and why in public, he stands against torture of others like a wet noodle, and in private looks the other way to serve the selfish pursuits.  Of course not, until thier name comes up. 

Sen. McCain lies again, under pressure to appese someone to promote his own agenda.  It seems like such a small thing, to simply subsitute the name of a football team for another.  Why change the name of the team?  The story as written in his book is just as anti heroic as what he did on the radio.  He gave up real men for the sake of continuing the selfish pursuit of himself.  Perhaps the story in his book was to simply sell it, and now to a different audience he sells himself again.  No matter the reason, no matter the team he sold out...whether it be the offensive linemen of a team, or the name of a ship in 1967, he sold out men.
