Overweight and obese people in our America are victims of the above health epidemic related to poor nutrition, due to the misleading information provided by the food processing industry primarily through TV ads, and many other promotional outlets, with most politicians, regulators, and conventional doctors (those trained in drug prescription, machine-testing, and surgery) looking the other way.

No individual is going to make any meaningful nutritional progress unless he/she is a firm believer of the following three premises:

  1. That we a need a strong commitment to lose weight and keep it off, to improve our health, our appearance, and to live a longer life. Excuses and denial are no longer the answer to a very serious problem, with epidemic proportions.
  2. That humans were created to be fed by farm and sea products, and not by fatty animals or by fat-producing products made in machines.
  3. That most fat-producing-machine-made products, as well as most fat products from animals, cause very difficult addictions if you eat them on a regular basis. In the case of foods produced by machines, not only do they lose nutritional value in their processing, but also as the processors add chemical preservatives, colorants, additives, antibiotics, etc. - that do more harm than good.

If we are truly and sincerely committed to improve our health and appearance, then following is the most effective, practical, and easier way to achieve these goals:

DECREASE:

1. The consumption of animal fat, and if you need to eat a piece of meat, boil it twice. The taste will still be there to satisfy your addiction – but at least most of the grease will be gone. Beef is the worst kind of meat – very damaging to your heart and arteries – by clogging them up.

(2) All vegetable oils, which are plain liquid fat, with the exception of olive oil, which has the type of fat which our body needs.

3. Dairy products such as milk, cheese, ice cream, cakes, etc.

4. Flour in its many forms, which is so cheap for the food-processing industry, such as in breads, pizzas, cakes, cookies, breaded-meats, etc.

5. Carbonated sodas, whether called Diet or Light, etc., which change into fat after we drink them, need to be replaced by good bottled water.

6. Sweets, such as all types of candy bars, chocolate, etc.

(7) And beer - which is very fattening...

INCREASE:

Your intake of vegetables and fruits of all types, green salads, whole grains, pasta – which is very strong and rich in needed carbohydrates – natural juices, and sea food. Salmon, shrimp, and fish of different kinds should be boiled once. IN SUMMARY: The more you eat products that come from the farm or the sea, straight to the kitchen table, the better prepared you will be to defeat overweight and obesity, to have a beautiful appearance, to increased self-esteem, and for a joyful and healthy life. Try buying your groceries in Health Food Supermarkets, as many organic products as possible, and God, nature, and happiness will be with you... Come on, trust yourself, you can do it!
