John McCain IS The One!

John McCain IS The One after all!  Wh'da ever thunk it, anyway?

My neighbor is, or was, a staunch Republican.  I told her during the ordination of King George by the Supremes in 2000 that he was a “disaster of Biblical proportions”.  During the last presidential election we had dueling signs in our front yards. 

Although we have not talked specifically about Boy George, she has expressed extreme disgust with the way things are going, and she changed her registration to Independent some months ago. 

She doesn’t like McCain at all, and thought Fred Thompson was her candidate.  That was before he woke up and opened his mouth - and yawned.  I am sure her fallback position was Romany, although that might be a poor guess: she is staunch Catholic, and has stated in our conversations in past years that she is so conservative that she is just to the right of God.  His Mormonism must have stuck in her throat, although we never talked about it. 

I have to feel sorry for her.  Now that Romany has suspended hostilities with our favorite son candidate, her choices seem to be Huckleberry or McCain.

Huck’s evangelical bent has to stick in her Catholic throat.  And in any event, he is trailing his one remaining opponent rather decisively it would seem. 

And she detests McCain, the probable Republican candidate.   

But she hates HillaryBillary with a good staunch Republican blind hate.  And it is shaping up to be a Hillary vs. McCain sort of donnybrook for the Oval Office. 

If it is Obama instead of Hillary, maybe I can calm her down and get her to vote for …  no, forget it.  That is not a possibility.   

I’m afraid she is going to melt.
