Do you remember Laurel and Hardy, the Hollywood comedy team of the 1920s and 1930s?  Oliver Hardy was the fat guy.  Stan Laurel was the skinny guy. 

 

Ollie was the leader, and good at getting the pair into tough situations and then blaming it on his meek sidekick Stan.  One of Ollie the finger pointer’s favorite lines was “Well, this is a fine mess you’ve gotten us into!” as he pointed his finger at poor resigned sidekick Stan.

 

There is a new comedy team in town.   George W. “Ollie” Bush is the fat head.  Poor Rummy “Stan” is his meek resigned sidekick taking the blame for Ollie Bush’s litany of mistakes. 

 

What a Comedy team!  And it is indeed a fine mess, Ollie.
