When I got home tonight I dedicated 2 plus hours to watching Loose Change. And I come away from it thinking...huh. Not huh? But huh.

While I have not had time to vet the information it contained, I did make about 30 minutes worth of excursions into the various things it quotes as I watched. I can say this for these guys who made the movie, they did their research. Every item they quoted, every person they mention, save the terrorist listed, I could find the same information with a key stroke. From pictures from the Pentagon showing a motor part much too small for a big Boeing plane, to the Rummy quote where he mentioned a missle in the same sentence as plastic forks and spoons.

And the idea has some historical backing. For years people have floated the idea that Roosevelt knew about Pearl Harbor prior to Dec. 7 1941. I have seen the History Channel and the Discovery Channel (I think they are owned by the same folks, correct me if I am wrong) have ran hour long shows dedicated to Rossevelt's knowledge of the coming attack and his complacency or at the very least disbelief about the information.

Personally, I don't know what to make of it. Oliver Stone might be able to help with the production of the third installment, but does the theory hold water? Don't know.

The idea that an airplane that big could "bounce" and leave no trace of an impact is interesting. The idea that only twice in history has an airplane that big hit the ground and left so little evidence that it was ever there, was on the same day, 9/11/01 is unlikely. Like all of you I have seen many a plane crash on T.V. and seen the wreckage spread out for miles.

The suggestion that United 93 was landed, emptied and took back off (or was switched at the airport with another plane altogether) is interesting in a Project Blue Book kind of way. Along with the many real time interviews that were done on 9/11 of people mentioning second and third explosions. Could they have been produced by kitchen appliances or fuel stored for generators, again, not an expert, don't know. The people running saying the building was going to come down prior to it happening, when in all the history of steel buildings, nothing like that has ever been recorded without the assistance of explosives. Then again, the idea of something very tall falling could be hard wired into us. Would make sence to me.

The one part that I felt was the most convincing was not the phyiscal evidence but the shorting of the stock for United, AA (that's American Airlines, not Average American) and Boeing. That does indicate to me that something could have been known. Was it that an attack was coming? Could it have had something to do with what AirBus was doing at the time that might affect all three, again, not an expert, don't know. They did just introduce that mega plane.

The part that I found most hard to except was not that bad things could be going on behind the scenes, secret plans being made real, or that some people might have been in a position to stop it and didn't, but that as many people as it would have taken to pull off something like this, how have the kept them all quiet?

We are talking about a literal Army of conspirators here. Not 5 or 10, not even a hundred or so, we are talking literally thousands of people who would have to be silenced, watched, reminded of the importance of keeping quiet. We can't even keep quiet that we have "SECRET" bases in foreign lands for prisoners, far from the prying eye of the American media. So, how would they keep something that would require so many peoples foreknowledge a secret in a country that has a media with a hard on for this President? 

You would have government officials giving orders, ground personel working on designs for the placement of charges, the guys who set the charges, the people who worked in the building daily, the passengers of United 93 (unless they are in Gitmo) radar personel from any number of towers that might have seen something,  fire fighters and first reponders who would raise so many questions, scientist (and on this point they did name a few) who would question the physics of the fall, people walking the dog down the street who looked up at the right moment. How do you keep that many people from leaking information or producing something that they bolted out of a building with. They can't all be in on it. They can't all be Bush supporters, can they?

This is where I got stuck. The near impossiblilty that this could be kept under wraps. With the Roosevelt theory about Pearl Harbor we have very few people involved. I think it was a layer or so of brass, a teletype person or two and the Big Dog himself. I could see that being kept quiet.

Recently the Pentagon released 5 frames of a video showing "a plane" hitting the Pentagon Building. I looked at it, could have been a kite, it's so damn blurry, but could have been a plane, I guess. I have heard the question and admittedly, I have even asked it of people, "Have you ever seen a picture of any wreckage from either Pennsylvania or the Pentagon?".  While not understanding the physics of burning jet fuel mixed with steel and cement I had accepted the idea of it causing the total distruction of both planes, that and the reported impact speeds. Again, not an expert, don't know, but I accepted it. Doesn't sound like it's possible given the information Loose Change provides, but again, not an expert, don't know.

Finally there is the question that I would all of you, do you think that this President, the man most of you accuse of being dumber than a rock, really smart enough to pull this off?

Now understand, I am not endorsing this theory, but neither can I dismiss it entirely. I would be interested to know what any of you think about it if you have watched it.

Because what would I know; I'm just an Average American.
