Now that Ned Lamont has beaten Joe Lieberman for the US Senate nomination, the rightie pundits and the Republicans have really stepped up the attacks in the war on terror- against Democrats.
The oped from Cal Thomas was cheap and brazen, but then Chuck Roberts on CNN Headline News levelled an attack against Ned Lamont calling him the Al Queda candidate! So lets see, Bush has had 4 years and 11 months now (today is 8-11-2006) to fight the War on Terror and AL Queda and just this week another attack was thwarted in the UK, Osama is free as a bird, we've killed or captured the number 2 guy in Al Queda, what 4 or 5 times now, and the Republicans are trying to make people believe that they are the party that can get OBL???
Luckily, the polling is showing that the public is now supporting the Democrats to fight Al Queda by 55-60 to 35% for Republicans. That coupled with Bushes' approval ratings back down to 33%, and we'll have a Democratic House come Jan 07!

| They will try to take Ned Lamonts political legs out from underneath him as quickly as possible. He looks, sounds, acts like a strong Democratic Presidential candidate. A candidate they might have trouble finding a match for! [Unless jerry Farwell and Ernest T. Bass (The rock throwing hill-billy from the Andy Griffith show) somehow combine to form the next republican presidential candidate . . .] A heehaw, braindead, bible thumper could be hard to beat. . . again

| It just amazes me the depths of the attacks these trolls will try. I mean really, I know Man Coulter and Rush Limpaugh have no morals or scruples, but Chuck Roberts is a freaking news anchor on Headline News! I hope to hell enough people call and e-mail them and let them know they don't think of themselves as Al Queda voters, and that they're sick of Pres Chucklenuts' half asses War on Terror, and full out no holds barred War on Democrats.

| Have you not mourned for the demise of 24 hour cable news Phaedrus? We used to have it, you know. Of course Fox News never came anything close to being a "news" outlet, and MSNBC doesn't have the viewership or neutrality to qualify (but thank God for Keith Obermann). But remember CNN before the revamp a few years ago, when they felt compelled to change their look with new graphics, sound effects, the news "scroll", and programming additions? Now watching "Primetime News" during primetime includes the likes of Nancy Grace and Glen Beck. It is a complete waste of bandwidth at the time when I would actually like to catch a summary of the days news. We are driven to PBS and CSPAN to get real news, unfiltered but also quite dry. Satellite users can subscribe to more international news outlets like the BBC, but we Cox Cable users are left in the cold. I guess that Cox has decided that its viewers must be morons and don't really want real news and information . . . and they're probably right. Even CNN is more "newsy" when you travel overseas and tune in their "international" version of their programming, so they must simply assume that Americans need their news dumbed down and delivered by vapid models or outlandish bloviating pundits. Chuck Roberts is no news anchor -- we haven't had one of those for a long time.

| I finally got around to reading the Cal Thomas article. And the Republicans say the Democrats are the Party of Hate. Yesterday on Fox, Julie Bandaras (who is the biggest bitch anchoring any news program today) actually said that it was because of Al-Queda in Iraq that we went to war there. Guest Martin Frost (D) called her on it, but she cut him off. Just for fun, check out this. I saw it live and laughed my ass off. (It was on Hannity/Colmes) When they went to the split screen the look on Hannity's face was priceless. [link:img174.imageshack.us] |

| Nancy Grace is totally unwatchable. I have no idea what her show's about. When I tune in, I canonly listen to her for 3-8 secs, then I've gotta change channels. Some combination of pitch, tone, I don't know what. Glenn Beck is a third rate rightie radio talker, whose tired talking points actually are comforting enough for me to watch and accept his pathetic views, realizing that 60-80% of viewers can do the same. But I still haven't watched more than one news segment at a time. AP news wire, & CNN online (whats happened when Lou Dobbs is where I go for balance!) for news, and DailyKos to pickup the slant. |

| Phaedrus, the enemy regime has installed itself in all the nooks and crannies of our government. People like Cal Thomas, Chuck Roberts and Nancy Grace are NeoConservative mullahs calling from the minarets for the Cheney faithful to face DC in prayrer in their far right madras' of Facism. The immediate object of their terrorist agenda is the American population and the Constitution. Their goal is to install a Religio-Fascist Regime that will put us all in a straight-jacket of restricted thought and speech. This regime has to be overthrown! Its time for them and their boot licking lackeys of whatever political coloration to disappear from the political leadership of our nation. Time is running out! |

| Well it was a somewhat lame apology. Instead of saying he was wrong to say a vote for Lamont was a vote for terrorsits, he said he was sorry to bring up that SOME HAD SAID that a vote for Lamont was a vote for terrorists. Oh well, it's the thought that counts.

| Its a chickens*** apology. Chuckie boy will go down with the rest of the partisan hacks when their turn comes. My favorite interview was when Pelosi was onCNN, and the vapid anchorwoman was spouting GOP talking points and finally Pelosi complimented her on using the talking points and asked if she was on the GOP payroll.
