Yesterday, because I still have some dentin left on my molars, I decided to listen to Sean Hannity on the radio.

He had the good Christian Pastor Mike Huckabee on his radio show.  Apparently Huck has written a book entitled "Do the Right Thing." Huckabee told the Hannity radio audience (and I am ashamed to admit that I was one of them) that if we just followed the "Golden Rule"---do unto others..........."   Good ole Huckleberry was on his best Baptist Minister podium.  "Don't hold grudges"  Blah, Blah, Blah.

Apparently, Pastor Mike ain't preachin' what he is writin':  his book is filled with venom and all kinds of unforgiveness.

He ripped Mitt Romney.  He ripped Pastor Hagee for supporting McCain.  He ripped Gary Bauer. He ripped Pat Robertson and Bob Jones.

To some us, that would be great!! Those asses need to be ripped.  Only Pastor Mike was dissing them for not supporting his failed attempt to become President.

Seems that Huckleberry needs to go back and read his Bible.

Hannity, as usual, was just an ass.  "Oh yes, Mike, if we just treated each other with respect, everything would be fine" or some such crap.  This coming out of the mouth of one of the most hateful public figures on TV/Radio was enough for me to completely wear down a TMJ cartilage.

But, perhaps there is hope for our country.
Enter Chuck Hagel.

“We are educated by the great entertainers like Rush Limbaugh,” Hagel said Tuesday during a speech in Washington, according to the Huffington Post.

“You know, I wish Rush Limbaugh and others like that would run for office,” a sarcastic Hagel continued. “They have so much to contribute and so much leadership and they have an answer for everything. And they would be elected overwhelmingly. [The truth is] they try to rip everyone down and make fools of everybody but they don’t have any answers.”

“The American people don’t like what is going on… they want us to start doing what leaders are expected to do, address the problems, find some consensus to governing. Get along. There will be disagreements, sure… but in the end we can’t hold ourselves captives to this raw, partisan, political paralysis.”
