Did you happen to see our very own Sheriff Joe on Lou Dobbs Tuesday afternoon?
While a previous segment featured his latest project, this is the first time he has starred in a guest appearance and actually talked with Lou.
He's a matter-of-fact no-crap kinda of fellow, but not exactly Mr. Personality.
It was interesting to find out that he actually headed up the DEA IN MEXICO during the Nixon administration.
He said in response to Lou's questioning that Nixon shut down the border, and this got the Mexican government's attention. He took over the DEA operations in Mexico about that time. Mexico had been about as uncooperative as it is now, but got much more cooperative following the shut down.
Do you suppose that might work again, considering that foreign exchange to the tune of $8 to $20 BILLION dollars per year is sent back home across the border by illegals here in the U.S.?
That is a close second to Oil as Mexico's chief source of foreign exchange. Shutting down the border would definitely slap them up along side of the head and get their attention. Short of that the Mexican government is laughing at us all the way to the bank.
Either way, the rest of the world is simply laughing at us.
Only in Mexico: Laughing all the Way to the Bank.

| "Vinny" won't be there that much longer, Double A. Not that anything positive has happened over the last five years, but what's Bush gonna do when his opposite number isn't a conservative businessman like Vicente Fox? Most likely the pendalum will swing left in the Mexican government, which has already tacitly allied itself with the Revolutionary Bolivarian Movement championed by Hugo Chávez of Venezuela. I’m not sure that augers well for better relations with a Mexico that thinly disguises its hostility to America. “Mexico was not a friend of the U.S. During World War I and World War II Mexico allowed German spies to operate freely to spy on the U. S. During the Cold War, Mexico allowed spies hostile to the U. S. to operate freely from its territory” Excerpt from “It may be old news, but it’s as current as today’s headlines” at [link:www.voiceofarizona.com] |

Digg It!

I wish Bush would reach down and feel around, his balls are there somewhere and he needs to find them and use them and stop kissing Vinny's ass.
But I'm just a sheep... wow.
