Thank you all for the welcome back and your comments.  I don't know if this will post as a comment, but I will give it a try.

First order of business.  I want all of you to know that VofA is doing everything they can to track this bug down.  Having grown up in the computer business, I am only too aware of the possibility of uncovering a Pandora’s box of difficulty whenever operational software is modified and/or enhanced.  VofA has done a spectacular job on this site, and the more complex it gets, the more likely a glitch will be found now and then.  As a former software developer I can tell you that no matter how thoroughly you test your system at the component level and then the system level before releasing it to the public, almost immediately if not sooner the end-user will find holes you never even thought of.

AA, I had exactly the same feeling - POOF!  I was sorry to not be able to respond to the support last time and while I know no one lost any sleep over my POOFiness, I felt like I had let the old guard at VofA down.  Hang in there tough!

MoronInCharge, thank you very much for the offer of a computin' machine.  I actually have a new Dell (this one that is speaking to you right now is an old Dell, but relatively powerful).  The new Dell is not on line for security reasons (yes I am paranoid, but that doesn't mean anything to those very real phishers and hackers and mischief makers out there) because I have financial models and other personal stuff on it.  I may have to relent ...

I am running XP Professional and the MS Internet Explorer is 6.0.  Because the problem cropped up with VofA's last major revision and I had changed nothing at all, I suspect that the two pieces of software have conspired to uncover yet another rare but exploitable hole that no one knew was there.  I am sure it is a little twist in the software that has been snapped taught and broken by the two conniving pieces of software, not a hardware problem.

"JuneBug," he said with great affection and admiration, "that cheerleader is precious.  And I am simply overwhelmed by the effort you have put forth and the impact of your poetry and artwork.  WOW!"  As he savored the magical moment he thought "Although I am unworthy of such attention, I surely do like and appreciate it."  Then he whispered in her ear "Thank you, thank you, and thank you my little JuneBug" as he imagined them dancing around various subjects in the sweet coolness of the VofA evening.

And thanks to everyone else that has expressed support.  The VofA site has really grown and I see some very astute and articulate writers coming on strong.  Great stuff gang.

If this posts as a comment, nuff said.  If not, I guess I may have to clutter up the article marquee again one more time.  Please accept my apology for that one and all here at VofA.  I hope to be back in the conversational mode with comments in short order.  In the meantime I will refrain from cluttering the article marquee with my comments, but be assured that I will read your comments.

Yours truly, The Silent One

PS. as you have probably concluded by this time the comment did not post.  Sorry about the clutter and I will now go POOF once again in terms of the comments to avoid the clutter.  I hope to be back soon, and I will surely be reading your comments even though I cannot as yet respond.
