Sunday, June 8th Voice Show

This is the last episode of the Voice of Arizona Radio Show: Generation Two.  The main topic of discussion will be our failed energy policy, our clean energy future, and things we can do today to build that future.

With more than 300 sunny days each year in Phoenix, the topic of solar energy has special importance for those of us who live in the Valley of the Sun.  We could become the solar energy capital of the nation -- if not the world  -- if we get serious about making the start-up investments now.  With that in mind, our guest panelist will be Tom Alston of American Solar Electric, Inc., an Arizona-based design-build firm specializing in solar photovoltaic power systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications.  He will be able to answer your questions about energy policy in general, and any specific questions you might have about putting solar panels on your house.  Learn more at:  www.americanpv.com

Since many of us desert dwellers survive the summer heat with the help of a swimming pool, as well as air conditioning, it might not come as a surprise that the cost of running a pool pump is second only to the A/C on your monthly utility bill.  Steven Allen of Allen Concepts and inventor of the TightWatt digital pool pump controller, has come up with an ingenious, simple, elegant, and cheap device to potentially cut your pool electricity consumption (and bills) in half.  He will be a phone guest during the second hour.  Learn more about the TightWatt Pool Timer at:  www.tightwatt.com

Zelph and Nancy will also join us on the panel, to help keep the tech-speak to a minimum, and to restrain me (MoronInCharge) from biting off the heads of any global warming deniers who call in.

Other topics may also be open for discussion during the second hour depending on the news cycle and our mood.

The Voice Radio Show is broadcast live on  www.vona.com  and 1480AM KPHX  every Sunday from 2-4 Pm Local Arizona Time.
