I have been impressed by some of the articles posted on V of A.  There are many intelligent and thought provoking pieces.  Some of my favorites are on specific topics that are important to the country.

I believe that we are entering one of (if not the) most important phases in our country's history. We have a war that appears that will never end, looming financial disasters, a debate on immigration, wiretapping, security issues, government secrecy like has never been seen, corruption, incompetence and the list goes on.

One problem is that the entire Federal government is run by one party.  We need oversight, and a return to the checks and balances that the framers of the constitution knew were critical to the survival of the country.  Ergo, we need to have Democrats elected so they have a majority in either the House or Senate.

So, smart people who contribute so much to this site, I would like to see your talking points for people like me (engaged, informed, interested and passionate) to present to people who are not so engaged.  Many voters pick a single issue, (it appears that immigration may be issue of the day right now) and ignore the other critical issues that are as, or more, important.  These are the people we have to reach, and give them the big picture.

The points can't be too long or technical (people's eyes glaze over). They have to be short, effective and factual.  They need to anticipate the right wing talking points.
