I had intended to cover this subject in another posting, but the education process on this subject is far to important to place in the body of another work.
The need for permanent and continued tax cuts for what June refers to as the “wealthiest” Americans is absolute. First of all, the “wealthiest” Americans include anyone making over $200,000.00 per year. This is the core of small businesses in America. This group of people pay the bulk of all income taxes. In fact, the top 25% of wage earners pay 83.33% of all taxes, while the top 1% of wage earners pay 34.27% of all income taxes.
If you are going to give a tax cut it needs to be directed first of all at those who pay taxes. The numbers above are not made up. They come directly from the Congressional Budget Office and are reposted on a number of sites.
These small businesses are the providing the majority of all jobs in the United States. If you continue to squeeze this segment of the population you will kill this economy. These are the people who benefited most from the resent tax cuts. They in turn were able to hire additional people, increase their production and invest more money into the economy by adding equipment and materials to their manufacturing and distribution operations. These people placed more than $880,000,000.00 back into the economy, an economy that was struggling when Bush took office and which suffered what could have been a debilitating blow on Sept. 11th, 2001.
Some people would have you believe that the “wealthy” horde their money, stuff it away in mattresses and sit on it. They do not. Most “wealthy” people are invested up their eyeballs in this economy.
If you want an economy to grow you have to leave the money in the hands of the people who make it tick. The government does not grow the economy, it can only at best, get out of it’s way, at worst, it can stagnate it or even devalue it with money manipulation. When I say “leave” the money that’s what I mean. Every dollar the government has came from you and me. It produces nothing of value itself.
The poor benefit most from a cut like this. It gives them a chance to find employment each time a small business has more of the money it produced through it’s operation.
This is also true of the death tax. Each time the governemnt takes money from an estate they are in essence taxing that money twice. Do you want your kids to have what you created, the company, the house, the small savings you might be able to put away, or do you want it taken from them by a government that makes null and void all the work, hopes and dreams you had for your family after your death. This tax was terminated by this President to help families create wealth that they could hand down from generation to generation. The Liberals would have this reinstated to deprive you of deciding where your assets go after your no longer here to direct it.
Those who stand in the way of tax cuts are trying to ensure that a poor, dependant voting base stays right where it is, poor and dependant on them for everything they have. This is the Liberal Democrat dream, an electorate dependant on them for their daily survival.
But what would I know, I’m just an Average American.

Bye the way, there is a typo in "... an economy that was struggling when Bush took office ...". I'm sure you meant "... an economy that was struggling after Bush took office ...".
I got a very good job in 2000. It wasn't until 2001 when the Bush Regime was attacking the middle class and rewarding wealthy cronies that the economy started to go into the dumper and jobs evaporated.
You're welcome. Don't mention it. Mistakes happen.
