The article I Hate George W. Bush by indie616 motivated me to put into words what I have thought for half a decade.  Here is a definition for your entertainment and edification:

Offal is the entrails and internal organs of a butchered animal. The word does not refer to a particular list of organs, but includes most internal organs other than muscles or bones. Depending on the cultural context, offal may be considered as waste material that is thrown away, or as delicacies that command a high price. Offal not used directly for human or animal food is often processed in a rendering plant, producing material that is used for animal feed, fertilizer or fuel.”  From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The “cultural context” is the current angry political scene in America, courtesy of The Great Divider.  For the last five years the Oval Office has been the Offal Orifice.

An increasing number of Americans view the Bush Regime within the historic "cultural context" of "government for the people, of the people, by the people".  Judged against that "Cultural context" everything that has come out of the Offal Orifice is “waste material that is thrown away”.

On the other hand, there are those, principally the hard right and NeoCoNazis among us, who view the regime from within the cultural context of unquestioned authority to their world view.  They consider the droppings from this regime to be “as delicacies that command a high price”.

I don’t know about the delicacies part of that last viewpoint, but the price has indeed been high.  And we don’t even know what the astronomical future tab is going to be.

I'll leave it up to you to decide what has been "butchered", but it starts with an 'A', ends with an 'a', and contains the word meric in between.
