Listening to your radio show on Sunday made me laugh. The ACLU used to stand for American Civil Liberties Union. Now it stands for African Citizens & Latino's Uncles.
I am a White American tax paying Female citizen that was let go from a government job unjustly and had all the documentation necessary to prove it. When I contact the ACLU, I was told that my case was not a priority. Basically I was not a Mexican or a N*****, so they would not even offer advice or any consultation once they found out I was a White American tax paying Female citizen.
If I would have been on welfare or living in the ghetto at the time, they would have jumped all over my case, just like the Attorney's that I ended up paying big $'s did, once they saw the documents that I had.
So, I think it's time for them to change their name to African Citizens & Latino's Uncles. And they should also stop promoting themselves as American anything and just be honest. The only cases that they take on are the cases that will get them on the news and are racially related.
I say F*** the ACLU.

| Roseboom, Sorry to hear you lost your government job, I always thought it was difficult to get fired from the Government. I've seen a lot of people who hold government jobs that have no business being there. It's probably affirmative action at it's finest. Maybe you should contact a different chapter of the ACLU and tell them you are a black female and see if the response is the same. I do agree that the ACLU will at times take on the more publicity type cases; such as Senator Larry Craig. I would be very curious of the outcome. |

| Better yet Roseboom. Tell us why you lost your job. Did you have consistently have high evaluations? Did the high priced lawyers win a judgment on your behalf? Did you call your co-workers racial epithets to their face, or just post those in anonymity on websites? This will help me understand your situation. |

| If she lost her job because she was bad employee, then the story isn't quite as she writes it. Oh say, calling people N*****S, then that would be a problem, especially in a US government job. If she was unfairly fired as proven by her lawyers, then I would think that would be material to her claim. |
