John McCain is a retard

John I-ain't-no-economist McCain has announced he'll eliminate the federal deficit by the end of his first term!  No if's, and's, but's or elaboration!

Everyone applauds but most well-informed economists and ill-informed voters continue to ask how this dovetails with his promises to extend the Bush tax cuts, to cut corporate and individual taxes even further and to increase the military by 400,000 more boots on the ground!

Oh - and those 300 economists whom McLame's campaign staff says support McLame's absurd economic plan?  What they signed was a statement of general principles to stimulate the economy and create jobs - no if's, and's or but's or elaboration.

McCain led the calls to cut and run from Somalia in 1993.

He was cool with us leaving the evil Saddam in Iraq, in 1991.

June, on balancing the budget by 2012, the numbers aren't McBush's friends. The four biggest items in the budget are

• Pentagon
• Medicare + Medicaid
• Social Security
• Debt and interest payments

Discretionary spending is 38%, and is mostly small programs, like food stamps, or foreign aid, or farm subsidies, or NASA, none of which are individually more than 2.5% of the US budget.

We're running about a 15% deficit annually.

In order to make up that 15%, you either got to slash 50% from Medicare, or Social Security, or the Pentagon, or eliminate half of all federal discretionary spending. Debt payments are off the table.

Or, you can raise taxes.

So Republicans, which is it?

“Crap, how old is this dude, and how out of touch with reality?” 

Oh, pretty close to THREE QUARTERS of a CENTURY, or thereabouts.

Maybe the Republican’ts are sitting this one out because the NeoCoNazis under the Bu$hite fascist regime have made such a colossal mess that they see the handwriting on the wall.  They are washing their hands of it and will fade back into the weeds and spin and spin the Democrats dizzy as they try to fix eight years of the worst assault on our Constitutional Republic that could have been imagined.

Oh, that’s his experience kicking in.  Unfortunately his experience is several decades in arrears and hasn’t been updated since before he flew through the half century pylon.  His experience does count - for the regressives among us.
