What the Hell are you whining about now Moron? I will tell you that I think your banning was a delight for you giving you some new martyr status that you can again beat us all about the head and shoulders with. " Oh poor MIC, he was so abused by the man". Get the f*** over yourself.
Second... If the wildly successful parent company wants to lower its involvement from here on out why is that any business of yours, or any of ours for that matter. This is their ball, not ours, and if they want to take it home at the end of the day they can. The fact that they go home and leave the ball at the park for us to play with is something we might periodically want to thank them for.
Third... The bulls*** crying about not being able to defend yourself wrapped in a gun-slinger metaphor. What a pathetic preemptive attempt to explain away your inability to stand up for what you believe in. You can either debate the issues in a manner the produces results or you can debate in the manner of "Genghis Khan" as John Kerry (a loser icon who also could not sell his wares), attempting to slash and burn as you go while making personality insults the primary reasoning for not liking either a comment, a political belief or an article.
As for the signing in anonymously, I actually agree with Indie. How lazy are we? However, I could see one benefit to it, I could write an article as I usually would but without the incredibly recognizable Average American moniker, my equally recognizable and beloved sign off (But what would I know;...) and a complete lack of anything interesting or relevant, and it just might get those coveted stars the masses ask for. If only it was a motivation for me, to be liked as much as liberals need to be liked, to be revered for the overabundance of good intention and desire to help that they put into every project that never pans out. It is this near obsessive compulsion to be missed when gone, to be welcomed aloud by the community at large upon ones triumphant return despite placing ones self in exile by your own actions.
Each time I read long drawn out retorts by these impassioned yet misguided liberals I can see them constantly fight the desire to type in bold print NEED ME, NEED ME, SOMEBODY SAY YOU NEED ME. It is a akin to watching a child in the room with a baby sibling for the first time, "Am I not important?". Let me help you because I hate to see other suffer, and this goes to all of you...
NO, you are not important. Neither am I. While I admit I am the biggest thing in my life, as you are in yours, beyond the immediate scope of your family and friends you lose massive influence as you stray farther from your personal orbit. So by the time you show up here, you simply cease to matter.
Now the same does not apply to everyone. This is the heart of what makes liberals so indignant about inequity. MIC is one of the few on this site who, like myself
(but to a far lesser degree), has achieved some mild celebrity at least up to the point of the anonymity provided by the site. This of course is a thorn he will never admit too but we all see it clearly, he can't be me. And that to a conservative is a gift in itself. Your individuality is paramount to your self worth. Desiring to be as others are is going eat you up. Jealousy over others who have more than you as you apply your best of intention liberal shtick isn't ever going to be enough to bring to drink the water, you'll be lucky to get them to the well.
"I want you to have yours, but I'm not going to give it out of mine." This is the the view liberalism has of the conservative side of the aisle. Well they are half right. Again selective hearing of comments made by a thousand intellectuals can indeed a bad impression make.
Simple remove the period and continue with "but I'll teach how to do it too because I believe in you to achieve."
That's not greed it's seed. Seeds grow and produce new flowers who die off in winter and seed others who grow larger and cycle continues (until some republican bastard digs oil out of the ground and kills the flowers) as it has since the dawn of time. Wealth, security, positivity and success are sprung from the ground by these same physical laws.
Liberals understand this concept they just get it screwed up by adding so much BULLs*** (or fertilizer) to the soil they burn the seedlings up making them dependent on the constant flush of water to give them any chance to survive. Then when they do die, "I tried" should somehow elicit applause?
I'm actually happy to see Water Boy back at it. He does empower the left to be just that much crazier.
But what would I know; I'm just an Average American.

| Let me get this straight. You believe that MiC is the one looking for attention? Coming from the author of 249 articles on Voice, that is rich. By comparison MiC has written 72 articles. Welcome back AA. You were sorely missed. We didn't know what to do without you. Voice was withering on the vine without your insightful articles and comments. Feel better now? |

| You both prove my point, as only I could know you would. Making this about you instead of the larger picture of your philosophical inequity. Got to love predictability! I must now go deposit large sums of money someplace where your potential economic disaster, Obama, can't find it, just in case he actually reverses the polls and pulls out a marginal win. |

Oh I'm sorry AA, I simply got confused with my mention in nearly every paragraph. Now I need to write an article about an arrogant pompous ass who projects his feelings of inadequacy upon everyone else, makes countless ridiculous and easily refuted assertions, gets almost every one of his predictions wrongs but never owns up to his mistakes, and deludes himself with the belief that his own deadend discredited world view is still spot on. Don't worry AA. It's not about you. It's about the larger philosophical picture. |

(416 and counting sometimes miltiple times a day-so much for the rules he helped pen) Then again it just supports your your contention that anything you write is immediately attacked by the fair minded progressives on this site. In closing I always thought of MIC as the "manager" of the high school team. Got the lettermans jacket without ever joining in the competition. Not that there's antyhing wrong with that! As MIC rersponded....... Looking forward to your autobiography Mike.

View this Comment Postman, Az Moderate wasn't accusing anyone of looking for attention. Besides Az Moderates articles are interesting, factually based and often contain real humor. You weren't posting here when the proposed "rules" were written. Some background. There was a guy that came in one day and completely overran the marquee with articles. Pages worth-it was a different situation from what Moderate does. Be honest Postman, (and I know you can be).....didn't Average American write this article just to attack MiC and those of us on the left? What are we supposed to do? Agree with him? Give him 5 stars? Sorry, ain't gonna happen. And just for the record (not that you asked but in case it comes up) I earned 3 letters in basketball and 2 in tennis. I am hardly afraid of competition. |

View this Comment Indie, You had asked me in another thread about Bruce Jacobs and Barry Young in comparison to your hero, the local disgraced, mentally unstable, 9/11 conspiracy theorist. I'm glad you asked. Barry Young and Bruce Jacobs have said they will debate anyone, anytime, on a level playing field for one full hour on their programs. Your hero, coward that he is, has been challenged to multiple debates and has chickened out each and every time. He's simply not capable of defending all the lies and horrible rumors and slanders he spreads. Plus, if you heard yesterday's program, you'll know he was asked to name one thing Obama stands for and after stuttering, drooling, stammering, and wetting his pants, admitted he doesnt' know anything Obama stands for but would try to find something after 48 hours of research. Humiliating! Embarrassing! Also, another left-wing hero, the disgraced, pitiful Keith Olbermann also does not allow debate or dissenting opinions on his program. You must agree with Olbermann to appear on his program. No exceptions. The left is just incapable on level playing field debates. It's that simple. Look how people (MIC) run and hide from debate with me. I hope this helps Indie! |

Digg It!

A bit of projection? You record stands for itself. The only person here, aside from Danny, that has attempted to incessantly market himself (to the point of trademarking his screen name and sign-off line), and to speak on Voice's behalf as if he had actual financial stake in the company, is you. My identity away from this site is quite safe and sound, thank you. You, on the other hand, have confided to us that Average American is your ticket out of here, to bigger and better things. Now you regale us with this unexpected and unprovoked diatribe accusing me of thinking MoronInCharge is the center of the Voice universe? Perhaps you feel your influence slipping away with the physical distance, and this little attack article is a childish attempt to reassert it.
I am not a martyr for being banned. I doubt that the first article I would have written upon my return would have been a forcible defense of banning if I felt it were not necessary or it did indeed produce martyrs. Of course, I think one should be banned for the right reasons, and not capriciously, but I don't believe I came back and tried to settle any online vendetta with the management, or cried about the indignity. So just where are you coming from with this bulls***? What have I done to provoke you? Do you feel superior about yourself by stepping on me during your triumphant return? I know people who think that the only way to assert authority is to preemptively castrate everybody in the room. They learned this technique from their own painful castration at an early age. You wouldn't be compensating now for an unfortunate lack of endowment, would you AA?
Do you really want to start a flame war with me Average? Is that what you want to waste your time doing? Since I came back last week, I've treated everybody with respect, friend or former foe, until they made it their mission to attack me. Then I will not hesitate to return fire. Surprisingly, nearly everyone has been courteous to me, with the obvious and completely expected exception of Danny. Now it seems you have an axe to grind with me, and I'm more than willing to play if that's your desire. But ask yourself the next time you complain about the long drawn out prose of obsessive writers who are just looking for attention . . .
. . . just who are you complaining about?
