There is no place for Religion when it comes to the lives of the American people.I've been saying that for a long time. So why do we still have a religious test for anyone seriously considering the job of POTUS? If we put atheists in Washington, they will not be taking any religious holidays. |

| Amen, from now on no religious holidays for National holidays. The only paid days off should be Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day. And maybe Arbor Day. |

| It is their country and they can do what they want. They were supposed to receive a New Year's (Rosh Hashanah) gift from Congress, but it did not work out. Just think how much of 700 billion could be syphoned to private accounts!

| "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." --- Constitution This country was based on freedom from religious persecution...Yet here you are, also expounding on your freedom of speech, telling them to quit exercising their freedom... Secondly....This problem was created during the big mortgage boom of the 90's and will not be solved by tossing 700 billion at it...In essence, you are telling them to go ahead and take from Peter to pay Paul...Also a bad idea... Thirdly...The SENATE was not even scheduled to vote on the measure until Thursday anyway...And as of right now, they have nothing to vote on... So instead of panicking and screaming at the Jews, take a chill pill...There are still members of Congress currently working on a better solution than 700 billion dollars tossed at the problem... |
