Pronouncements from McCain's foremost expert on energy:McCain_Elephant_Trust_200x200

"Let me speak specifically about a credential that I do bring to this table, Charlie, and that's with the energy independence that I've been working on for these years as the governor of this state that produces nearly 20 percent of the U.S. domestic supply of energy." 9/11/08

Never mind that the actual amount of energy produced by Alaska is only 3.5 percent!

"Oil and coal? Of course, it's a fungible commodity and they don't flag, you know, the molecules, where it's going and where it's not. But in the sense of the Congress today, they know that there are very, very hungry domestic markets that need that oil first. So, I believe that what Congress is going to do, also, is not to allow the export bans to such a degree that it's Americans that get stuck to holding the bag without the energy source that is produced here, pumped here. It's got to flow into our domestic markets first."   9/17/08

Wouldn't you love to hear her explain why gasoline is still over $3 a gallon with crude trading at less than $100 per barrel!  wink wink!
