Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an XML-based format for content distribution.

VoiceOfNorthAmerica.com offers several RSS feeds for use in news readers and blogs. These feeds include headlines, summaries and links back to VoiceOfNorthAmerica.com for the full article, news story or event. VoiceOfNorthAmerica.com's Feeds update continuously throughout the day.

Below is a list of RSS feeds currently available to members of VoiceOfNorthAmerica.com to use within the limits of the terms of use.

What do I do with an RSS feed?

RSS feeds are available for your convenience so that you can view hundreds of headlines of your choice without having to visit the site.  If you add the RSS feeds to a news reader (a program downloading and displaying RSS feeds) you will even be notified when there are new items in your selected RSS feeds.  There are plenty of free news readers out there such as Mozilla Thunderbird and Omea Reader.

In addition to news readers in the form of an application, there are web-based news readers which do not require you to downloading anything.  A few examples include Google Reader and My Yahoo.

Most browsers are also adding built-in news readers so that you can keep yourself updated on any new articles, events or news added to Voice without actually being here.

So how do I add an RSS feed to my news reader?

In order to add RSS feeds to your news reader, you will need to copy the URL of the feed itself and enter each one manually.  You can do this by right clicking on the feed you would like to add and clicking "Copy Shortcut" or "Copy Link Location".  Once you have done that you can now paste the URL into the news reader when it asks for the service's location or URL.
